Lizbeth is portrayed by Actress, Sarah Drew, whom you may recognize from her roles as Hannah Rogers in The WB family drama series Everwood and Dr. April Kepner in the ABC medical drama series Grey's Anatomy.

I met up with Sarah on the red-carpet at the 2023 Canadian Screen Actors Awards where the movie was nominated for Best Writing.

In this film, a mother’s love knows no borders. Lizbeth risks everything to protect her daughters and ultimately bring them home.

Sarah and I discuss this role, story, case & events, how often this happens to women, and how it’s very possible they can lose their kids because they don’t have the resources to fight.
