The Making of the Short Film, Trail

In this interview, I speak with Vincent Ménard and Mathieu Ardon Ktistakis, writers and producers and Vincent star of the Short Film Trial – a dark comedy-thriller, featured in 2023’s Vaughan International Film Festival, International Block 1 Screenings. The film depicts a lone hiker during one of his trips into the wilderness and the macabre discovery he makes that transformed his tranquil weekend into a fight for survival.
 
From braving bone-chilling Canadian winter weather outside Quebec, to casting issues, filming without a permit to the process of creating make-believe blood, we discuss everything that went into the production of this film.
