At 17, French Canadian & Japanese actress Miku Martineau made her acting debut along Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Woody Harrelson in the top-rated Netflix movie “KATE” playing the character Ani. Janette caught up with the young starlet in Toronto at Liquid Media’s Tiff event to talk about the movie in which skilled assassin (Winstead) who uncharacteristically blows an assignment targeting a member of the yakuza in Tokyo has 24-hours to exact revenge on her killers. During this time, she forms an unlikely bond with the teenage daughter of one of her past victims (Martineau). How did Miku land this role that has been deemed anti-Asian and how has it changed her?
